Don Baker has built a wide reputation as a harmonica player. Mark Feltham (who has played with Oasis, Joe Cocker & Rory Gallagher) rates him as the greatest acoustic harmonica player in the world, as does Charlie McCoy & U2's Bono.
Don Baker's harmonica playing is influenced by blues players such as Sonny Boy Williamson & Sonny Terry; also Charlie McCoy. A fine guitar player, Don learned blues guitar by listening to the great country blues players - Mississippi John Hurt, Blind Blake, Robert Johnson & Scrapper Blackwell.

Brush Shiels & Band has enjoyed a lifetime as one of Ireland's best loved entertainers. In the late sixties Brush launched Skid Row, a Dublin trio, this band wrote songs with strong blues guitar parts and folk lyrics. Brush was the bassist, singer and songwriter for most of the tracks, while one of the first lead vocalists was the legendary Phil Lynott, later to be replaced by that also legendary Gary Moore.
After the success of Skid Row, Brush Shiels decided to go solo and continues to play and has risen to the position of national icon.
