From Dublin City or Airport:
1. Get on M50 Ring Road and head for the N3 /Cavan junction (Exit 6.) Loughcrew is approx. 1 hr from the M50.
2. Take N3 to Navan, Cavan and Northwest.
3. Follow N3 through Navan to Kells. (approx. 30 miles)

From Kells:
4. Follow Cavan Road (N3) to top of town, and turn Left in front of “Supervalue’’ shop. Turn Right after 300 yards
5. Continue on main road for 13 miles (ignoring signs to Oldcastle, Loughcrew Cairns, etc, on the way - keep to the main road all the time!) and find the Loughcrew House Entrance - massive blue railings and gateway- on Left.
6. The Goods Entrance is 150 metres before the Blue Railings of Loughcrew House entrance, on the Left. There are large square stone blocks either side of the entrance. Drive straight on at the top of the drive, into the yard (if possible). The Studio/Office entrance is on the right, behind a wall.
(7. Loughcrew Historic Gardens are 400 metres further on the Left)
Dublin to Loughcrew:
(*Suggested Alternative Route avoiding N3)
This alternative route avoids the evening queues at Clonee, Navan & Dunshaughlin. However there may be delays getting out onto the M1.
1. Take M1 from/past the airport heading North (towards Belfast) as far as Drogheda - the first roundabout after the New Boyne Bridge.
2. Turn Left off this roundabout to Slane.
3. Straight through Slane, continue for 2 km towards Navan, turn Right to Kells (opposite Slane Castle entrance).
4. Follow signs to Kells (follow instructions given 'From Kells' above).
From Oldcastle:
Take Mullingar road for one mile and turn Left (wide junction, houses, vast warehouse). After two miles find Loughcrew Historic Gardens on Right. After a further 300 metres find Loughcrew House entrance on Right - massive blue railings and gateway.
N.B. The Loughcrew Studio and Goods Entrance is 150 metres after the Blue

From Mullingar:
Go to Castlepollard. Take Oldcastle road. 1 mile before Oldcastle, turn Right at Millbrook Village (wide junction, houses, vast warehouse). After 2 miles, find Loughcrew Historic Gardens on right. After a further 300 metres find Loughcrew House entrance on Right - massive blue railings and gateway.
